B) I agree God could use evolution as a part of creation. Too often people get so locked into one theory that they can't see that there may be an alternative. The secret is to keep an open which you so obviously have Thank you for your comment ;)

I think this is where the difference between the UK and US is most evident, in the teaching and understanding of evolution!

As a child interested in science I was always fascinated by evolution and genetics, to the point where I now teach science. However I have never once found that evolution is in contridiction to my christian beliefs. There are so many miracles of science that I know I will never comprehend, but they were designed by God in His holy wisdom. Evolution does not teach about accidents (only people who totally discount evolution talk about it in these terms), but it teaches about design for a purpose.

How could a mechinism so powerful, complicated and totally unique to the Earth as the evolutionary process have come about by any other means than our ever loving God himself?

I am always amused to read these sorts of diatribe, because they start off being perfectly reasonable and invariably finish up as pure tripe.

I define the point at which this change over happens as the "Jesus point" and as I read through and suddenly reach that point I burst into spontaneous laughter.

I wonder if you known where that point is?
